This is my customer review of Long Island Watches.
Allow me to introduce myself first. My name is Lawrence E. Orient, and I live in Orient, NY on Long Island.
When my family that lives out west in Nassau County told me about the Long Island Watch, my first reaction was confusion.
I asked them what the difference between any wristwatch and a Long Island watch is?
After they pompously laughed at me for my lack of knowledge in the art world and the culture it involved they explained.
There is a world famous timepiece creator. His name was Franck Muller, and my family began to tell me more about this Swiss watchmaker.
Yes, his first name is spelled Franck and not Frank. If this puzzled you, it also biffed me quite a bit as well. So do not feel alone.
My question if Franck Muller was from Switzerland why was he creating a watch named after Long Island, NY?
It's hard to say why or how the fancy watch became notable connected to Long Island, NY but many celebrities wear this watch from Elton John to Demi Moore. Even 50 Cent who is technically geographically living on Long Island as he was born in Queens, NY.
Franck Muller was inspired by the Novecento Italiano Artist movement born out of Milan, Italy during the 1920s. Throughout history, there have always been famous artistic movements.
This particular artistic movement was based on the messages delivered by Mussolini, who was a Fascist and former leader Italy.
Benito Amilcare Andrea Mussolini would announce dead on the 25th of April in the year 1945. To be blunt, his death surely was not a pleasant or integral one.
Speaking of artistic styles, the death of Mussolini contrasts the fame, love, and longevity of the Long Island Watches created by Franck Muller.
Being a successful Long Island Restaurant owner from Orient, NY my bank account was flushed with an abundance of cash.
I was shocked when I asked my brother-in-law how much does one of the long island timepieces go for?
He responded pompously like he was Royalty or something and said without a whim anywhere from 5 thousand to 50 thousand plus dollars.
My jaw dropped at the price of this expensive timepiece.
I saw my brother-in-law whisper into my younger sisters year, "what a laugh, Michael would never be able to afford a Franck Muller Long Island Watch is three lifetimes.
After hearing his uneffective whisper, I asked my sister's husband so where are you elegant Long Island watch by the famous and esoteric Francis Muller.
He smugly first corrected me and said "Michael it is Franck, not Francis but I would not expect you to be privy to such fine watches.
My pride took over a bit, and I realized he tried to dodge my question. Then I repeated my question.
"Where is your Franck Muller watch John D. Rockefeller?"
This silenced the entire room, outside of my down to earth Father who let a brief crackle of laughter.
"I will have you know I am wearing a Rolex! Much more valuable than Walmart watch on your wrist."
"Nice Rolex, but where is your Franck Muller watch?"
He stamped his feet in anger and said "I will have you know it is currently sailing over the Atlantic as I order a customized watch to my liking. At a price that would be worth more than your restaurant in Orient."
My dad let out his laughter and could not hold back. Neither did I. Who did my brother-in-law think he is? Second question why on this green earth did my sister marry this yuppy?
"Michelle and I must leave promptly. We must catch the LIRR to NYC. Tonight we are going to Broadway to watch the Lion King Live! 200 dollar tickets each. 400 dollars in total. Much more than a movie ticket to see the Amityville Horror. You could never afford Broadway tickets so stick to the movie theaters."
As he begins to stamp his defeat in defeat toward the door, he says "come on honey let's go see Lion King on Broadway Live!"
My embarrassed sister looks at the family by the door as we wave her goodbye. Before pulling out of our driveway, he rolls down the window to say "Au revoir" which is goodbye in French.
Then I respond with "Hakuna Matata," and this even gets a smirk out of my sister.
With my pride now damaged by this false aristocrat, I make it my mission to purchase a Long Island Watch.
When I arrive back to my home in Orient, NY, I go online and purchase a men's style Franck Muller Long Island Watch for 5 thousand and change.
Usually, I would never spend such a large amount of money on luxury, but I was intrigued by this watch.
When it arrived in the mail my excitement to open to the package was at an all-time high.
As I took the Long Island Watch out of its packaging, I was astonished by the beauty and craftsmanship of the timepiece.
Over the years of my financial success, I have purchase luxurious wristwatches, but this one was by far the most beautiful.
Overall I would rate the Long Island Watch an 11 out of 10. There is no other finer watch on the market than the Long Island Watch designed by Franck Muller.
So if you have the money to spend and have a taste for fine watches, I would highly recommend purchasing one of Franck Muller's Long Island Watches.
